Bemboka War Memorial
BEMBOKA, lies at the foot of Brown Mountain in the Bega Valley
Shire.
This village in a valley is found on the South East Coast of New
South Wales in Australia between Bega and Cooma
The memorial is a white marble obelisk on a white concrete plinth on a 3 stepped base. The top of the obelisk is ornately decorated with carved marble devices. It is bordered on four sides by wooden posts and chain fence. There is a metal flagpole on the east side. North face, Marble torch, Cross, Crossed sword and rifle enclosed by a wreath.
The below is engraved in the marble on the front of the memorial
"THIS MEMORIAL WAS ERECTED BY THE CITIZENS OF BEMBOKA AND DISTRICT TO COMMEMORATE THE NAMES OF HER SONS WHO LEFT HERE TO FIGHT IN THE CAUSE OF LIBERTY AND JUSTICE IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1919 "LEST WE FORGET"
